Steele Saddles makes what they call a Plantation saddle.

I think there are some other brands that make them too, but
I can't remember who at the moment. A lot of gaited horse
riders use them.
A friend of mine borrowed one to use till she got a new
saddle and I thought it would be awful because the seat is
hard as a rock. But it was actually quite comfortable. I
didn't ride in it long though. My friend and I both have
gaited horses too, so I don't know how it would be on a
trotting horse.
