Thanks for responding. I called C&M ferrier supply who happens to be here in
Texas and they told me that in fact racing plates are sized differently. An
equivalent is the "O'.

Race horse plates are sized differently. As I recall this is a reasonable
size. We always used rim plates on Aly, and he has a size one foot in
front and an "0" in back.
