hoof improvement

I have had excellent results with Biotin Plus by Paragon. Valley Vet sells it at the best price I have found. The directions say to feed 1 scoop daily, providing 50 mg of biotin, plus methionine and d-calpantheonate (?) Susan G. told me the horse will pee out more than 20 mg daily, so at her suggestion I half the recommended dose, thus making it more cost effective. My farrier thinks it made a big difference.
