Re: leg wrapping
No wraps or boots of any kind are allowed. Pads are being experimented with
this year, so they are allowed for the first time. Hoof pads that is. No
bandages are allowed either. I had my mare cut her leg on a rock on a ride
once, and I wrapped her leg with my bandana to stop the bleeding and keep it
clean. Got pulled for it. If your friends horse is in fair condition and
she is only going in novice, then she really hasnt much to worry about.
Novice consists of mostly a med to fast walk. Just go have fun and enjoy.
