Re: Fwd: RC: How old is too old?
My horse C-Bows Gola is 22, I retired her with a check ligement problem at
16 (3,000 aerc miles) But brought her back at 18. This MARE brought me
back the the first year after another horse caused an accident breaking my
pelvis and ribs. You might know I was not ridding, just sitting on that
horse when some children galloped out of the brush straight into my face. I
succesfully rode C-Bow on an XP multiday 6 weeks afterthat crash. Now C-Bow
is 75 miles short of 6,000, the last 1,000 done mainly by my then 11-12 year
old grand son. This year she introduced my grand daughter (barely age 7 to
her first 25, one month later said granddaughter and C-Bow did Sara's first
50. They top tened both times. I hope both kids will get a chance to do
another 50 and take her over the top to 6,000, But even if that doesn't
happen, this horse is still a miracle.
Joan Ruprecht (11,000 plus miles, thanks to several very wonderfulmares, each
of which is my very favorite.)
