I have a new truck
And it's a diesel. I've totally lost it now. Wife says I'm still not
allowed to leave the South, but now northern Virginia looks available.
Haven't been in this good of a mood since the first wife left me. My
neighbors are helping me pack, already, for GA next week, just to get me the
heck out of here. Evidently, my happiness is not contagious. They can't
stand having me singing and dancing for some reason. Songs like "On the road
again....I just can't wait to get back on the road again....Sometimes that
highway's like a long lost friend, I can't wait to get on the road again."
Or, "I'm a traveling man, that's what I am....." I carry a tune about as
well as Yoko Ono.
OK, for you truck freaks (I hope I'm not the only one) I got that Dodge 250
(99), quad cab (to help store all my worthless junk) with the Cummings diesel
6 cylinder (don't let the 6 fool ya, it pulls over 11,000 lbs).... It's not
a dually, but I'm enough of a danger on the road without widening my backend,
so I think this is a good thing. I'm so happy I could just (you know what).
Thank God for credit. And the fact that we no longer have debtor's prisons.
Well, just thought I'd share my foolishness with you (don't ask what I paid,
please, although I must say when my salesman offered to take me out to dinner
to celebrate I started wondering just how "good" a deal I got).
Now I'll have to join AERC cause I plan on doing so many rides I might
actually figure out how to camp out by Christmas.
cya,
Howard (still a Rookie) & Dance Line (I should have let 9MM shoot his dumb
ass)
