California Earthquake -- again ---
Hello from earthquake country! We are about 8 miles from the epicenter
at Bolinas and it was one hell of a jolt, at about 6:06 pm, that lasted
about four-five seconds. I'm standing at the kitchen sink preparing
supper and wondering why we were getting this terrific sonic boom...and
then the "boom" continued...trees waved around, horses tensed but stayed
still. The pendulum clock on the south wall of our living room stopped,
but another pendulum clock and cuckoo clocks, on east walls in other
rooms, kept ticking. No damage except to the adrenaline glands. Nary a
drop of wine spilled from my glass, don'tcha know. I can imagine that
the campers out at Pt. Reyes Nat. Seashore are now busily packing up and
moving out, however. Enuf is enuf, but it still beats living in
Tornado Alley! Cheers, Connie B
