'splint' of navicular bone
Im asking this for a very good friend.
her much loved five year old show hunter ( unshown and only ever lightly
schooled and road worked on long reins) has come back lame after being sent
away for basic dressage training. Three weeks away and hes back lame. To cut
a long story short xrays have shown a splint or chip of the navicular bone.
Does any one have experience and positive stories relating to this injury?
Id be particularly interested in vets comments. The horse is a 17.2 to 18 hh
suffolk punch cross thoroughbred and heavily built ( and over weight to my
ER eyes).
Id be grateful for any comments to help her cope.
Tamara
