But they are NOT buying breeding material. They are only interested in
performing horses and mostly geldings at that.
I have often thought that three years of dedicated training on a decent horse
and (if need be) hiring a young, strong rider to compete my animal on a few
100's and do well, I might get $500,000 for it. Not a bad return on the
investment.
