I discovered a great de-skunking method this summer when my Jack Russel
(naturally) got skunked big time. Here is the recipe: 1 quart hydrogen
peroxide; 1/4 cup baking soda; 1 teaspoon liquid soap. Mix everything
together then pour and rub over skunk victim. rinse thoroughly then rinse
again. This stuff took the odor out immediately. We had tried tomato juice
first and it just made him look like a stinky shrimp cocktail. The peroxide
also nicely whitened his coat. So Potato if you do get a little stinky while
removing the skunk from your trail -- you can at least get the odor off
quickly. Good luck!
