One problem I see here is that it often takes a few 100 mile rides to
conclude a horse just isn't cut out for them, even if you complete them.
This would eliminate them from championship in the distance they're best
suited for. Also, what if a 50 mile RIDER purchases a former 100 mile
horse??
I would use different training schedules to reach peak performance at
the different distances, so a top 100 mile horse wouldn't automatically
have an advantage over a 50 mile specialist.
