Oh I disagree.  I think they seek out creeks to cross due to their desert
ancestry. >eg<

Actually, I've had better luck with Arabs and creeks...heck that's just
one more thing between them and the horizon.

Tip for the day:  to teach a horse to cross a creek, make sure you're
headed towards home when you ask him to cross it.  I fought for an hour
with my first green mare (QH./App) to get her to cross a creek headed
away from home.  I finally rode on roads for 3 miles until I managed to
work my way around to the other side of the exact same spot of the creek.
 She walked right across.  The next time was no problem.  I've used this
many times and it works.

Also, my newest Arab wasn't crazy about mudholes...until I rode the hound
out of him on a hot day,and then he really became fond of them.
