The Troxel is a bit more streamlined but the Lidlocker fits my head better. I also like the fact that you can snug up the fit with the velcro straps on the sides -- makes it nice and secure which I find less irritating. I like the chin strap and buckle system on the Lidlocker better but like the high profile part of the Troxel...noticeably lighter. If I had to choose one helmet, I'd go with the Lidlocker. You won't really know which one you like better as far as fit is concerned until you actually try the helmet on. Some modifications can be made as Angie said, so if the other features are more desirable in the Troxel, try removing the liner or changing the pads...you can't go without both of them since there are little hard velcro discs for the pads that are very uncomfortable on your head. And yes, I also like having both. Sue sbrown@wamedes.com Tyee Farm Marysville, Wa.
