rides for the National Championship to be held in NM later. Can you only
qualify at your own regions ride or at any region ride as long as you are
top 10? In other words if I top 10 in my weight division at the West Region
qualifying ride while I live in the PS region, does that count? Or are they
only taking the top ten of their region?

Jim,
You can qualify in any region. You could qualify in two regions on
different horses or you could qualify in both distances and then decide
which one you wanted to enter and which horse you wanted to ride, assuming
that horse qualified for that distance. I don't know yet whether Randy has
decided to have both the 50 and 100 on the same or different days. If it
were on different days, you actually could compete in both distances,
assuming you qualified in both distances on the same horse or different
ones. If both rides are on the same day, you can only be in one place
(unless of course you have a split personality).
A lot to think about.
