saddle shimming
Hi John - It sounds like your saddle does not fit your horse or you! Be
really careful about using a folded up towel in the middle of his back,
or anything that will compromise the free and open channel of free space
between your saddle and the horses' spine - you may just be transferring
some of the pressure onto the middle of his spine! If you use something
to tip your saddle back, it may put pressure on his loins and cause a
whole new set of problems. Can you have this saddle restuffed? This
might correct both the balance problem for you and the fit problem for
Meshack. I hope this helps.
