Swimming horse
I browsed the archives, but didn't find anything on this. What is
the best way to introduce a horse to swimming? There used to be a
race track near us that did it for excercise, but the pool is closed
now.
If you are riding a horse that ends up swimming (and doesn't panic)-
do you stay on its back? If you have to exit, what is the best way
to avoid getting kicked by the swimming feet? Any body in central
California know where there is a good place to introduce a horse to
swimming? (I'm in the Bay Area.)
Thanks!
