Hi Heidi,
Just a note of caution: BE careful when you first ride in the mountains
and the pressure REALLY is put on the crupper! Had a friend who
"practiced" a lot at home, but when the crupper"bit in' going down a
steep hill, the horse (being quite surprised) bucked right off a
steep(but luckily short) embankment out of shock! NO one was hurt, but I
thought it was something worth passing on....good luck!
