Angie, Angie, Haven't you noticed that it's never a good time for bareback??
As for the heat radiating off of Apache, yes, I can see that.  But as for
the heat from me going back to him, I think that's minimal compared to a
saddle and saddle pad trapping the heat against him.

Interesting point about staying in the shade vs the sun.  I went to Pigeon
Mtn over the weekend and took my dog with me on the training ride.  She ran
in the sun and Apache was convinced that we should be following her instead
of trotting right beside her in the shade.
