Hi Deb,
I have ALWAYS BEEN AFRAID this might happen, so I have never used the
bungee ties! Even the bungee cords that I tarp hay with are dangerous
and can fray and hit you or take out an eye.
I usually tie (3 horse slant) on the OUTSIDE rings of the trailer when I
have more than one horse so I can get it untied quickly if there's
trouble. I also do a lot of "looping" rather than knots so it unties
faster. If I only have ONE horse, sometimes I let them stand loose so
they can face backwards and ride the way they want to.
Glad no one was hurt, but now I am REALLY convinced I don't want those
ties. Thanks for telling us!
