There aren't any roosters at my barn. Luckily the coyotes/foxes got the
rooster before the chicks were born in April and as far as I can tell, they
were all hens. >>
I grew up on a chicken farm. I don't know about any diseases that can
transmit from chickens to horses, as diseases evolve over time and it's been
too long since my childhood and the chicken farm. But I DO know one thing
... there definitely has to be a rooster for there to be baby chicks!
