93 dodge diesel
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there's any
differences between the 92 and the 93 dodge's.
I own a 92, and can vouch for the transmission - I know in 1990 they
really beefed them up. I did manage to blow the Spicer 70 rear end in
mine, but I think that was a fluke thing, generally the rear ends DON'T
fail (or so I've heard through all the exclamations of amazement that I
needed another one).
My 92 is a 3/4 ton extended cab, 4x4, 5.9 liter Cummins diesel, with
1-ton rear end and suspension. Overall, I love this truck. It's been
used hard and has never let me down. It is starting to show it's age,
and the heaviness of the diesel engine has flattened the springs in the
front and worn out the shocks, but I can't seem to put a heavy enough
load on to make the hind end droop. It's a worthy work companion.
ps. I killed 2 Fords (easily) before I bought this truck!!!
Kelli (in Canada where it once started in -34 degrees Celcius without
being plugged in after sitting for three days!) For you southerners down
there, no, we don't have electric vehicles, but block heaters to keep
the oil from gelling!
