more truck questions

I want to thank everyone for their replies regarding auto vs. std.
transmissions on trucks.  
NOW, though, I'd like to know what your experiences are with GAS engines
towing goosenecks.  
	If I can't afford another diesel, I may have to go to a gas, and am really
afraid it will be a horror story to pull my gooseneck with a gas engine.
My trailer w/horse and "stuff" weighs about 6500--7,000 lbs.
