Laurel,
I have velcro tabs on the front of my Toklats that I can attach to the front
of the saddle. I've used the pads for several yrs on 2 horses (one that is
quite round with little wither --- just the conformation that would seem to
be predisposed to the type of rubbing you describe), and I've had no problems
(knock on wood/head!). The tabs seem to keep enough pad up between the front
of the gullet so it doesn't pull over the withers & also keeps the pad from
working its way backwards.
