They should almost or just touch the ground. No bunching. Also try the pull
on rubber bells, they work a bit better. I had leased a TB gelding that
needed trailers on all 4 feet to help strenghten his stifle and a few other
things, it worked and he had to wear bell boots all the time. I never had
any trouble with the bells.
