Spooky stuff
Today Ellen Snoeyenbos and I did a nice conditioning ride in Yellowstone
Park. We practically stepped on an elk calf tucked under some sagebrush by
its momma, but that really didn't spook anyone. Saw a sow bear with a
yearling cub under the trees in one area, and the horses didn't seem
concerned. What was terrifying were the backpackers with their hugh packs
which makes them a totally unidentifiable shape lumbering toward us, and
especially the ones with multiple "bear bells" attached to the packs.
Dyskrete just froze and stared. Give me bears any day !!!
