Hello All,
	I am thinking about getting a Ford diesel and trying to figure out whether
to go with auto or std transmission. My transmission guy (who works only on
automatics) says he would not get the standard because the repairs as well
as the parts are expensive--more expensive than the maintenance on the
automatics and that he gets more people coming to him with standard
problems (whom he sends to the dealers). BTW, he owns a Ford diesel and
tows two race cars with his in a closed in trailer and has an automatic.
	I would really appreciate your opinions and experiences regarding this
subject.
