RE: Gaited horses and endurance

If the list could please post their responses to this question
to the list or cc me I would greatly appreciate it. I have a
gaited horse and am interested in endurance riding but not actively
involved yet. I'm not sure my gaited mare is best suited for endurance
riding because she has a great "amble" gait but loses it if she tries
to go faster. Since you never want to let a gaited horse trot (if
you want them to learn to gait)I think my ride times would be somewhat
slow.
