My pasture potatoes definitely thought me with an umbrella was a pretty spooky combination. My 5 year old, Star, has decided that ground squirrels are really some kind of tiny predator bent on having him for a meal. Yesterday, he did two of the largest spooks I've ever been lucky enough to stick with when GROUND SQUIRRELS chirpped and dived for cover as we passed. Then, he wanted to go up to the squirrel hole and investigate where that little meat eater had gone -- silly boy.
