Top Ten Spooking Devices?

Okay, bunch, many, many years ago, when I actually RODE a horse and was
kinda young and dumb(er), I was minding our own business, riding my
beloved "first guy" through Penn State university fields... all's well on
the pasture front .... AND THEN .... out of the blue of the western sky
(and eastern, southern, northern) comes orchestrated, squirting into the
air in all directions of a water system EVERY WHICH WAY!  You know,
pfffffffftttt, pfffffftttt, pffffffffttt  going up and out and in circles
all around me.  My poor guy went straight up and didn't know which way to
land on the ground!  I don't remember what happened next - I know I
didn't fall, but, that's my topten-spooking-device memory bit.  The next
item, which I am sure many of you have happened across is riding through
corn fields and dang-it -- the farmers DO have to do something with their
crops once in a while--  so there may appear one of those
long-arched-neck- metal, headless devices peeping above the corn fields
that moves and spits shelled corn out of it's long throat.  It looks like
it could be a saddlebred with one of those long, swan necks, spitting
corn.  That scares ME!  Another ppppffffftttttt, ppppfffffftttt sound may
accompany that device.  Anyone else been there?
