No it doesn't appear to be at an end, since your post was VERY antagonistic.
In ANY pursuit with horses, it is hoped and expected that each owner will
know when his or her mare tells him to slow down. Indeed, this applies as
much to show jumping, driving, CTR, and EVEN the enormous stress of the show
ring. If you know so much about how the horse feels, just where do you and
your horse draw the line? Your mare may be very happy doing whtever you do,
while another's mare, fitter and perhaps more adventurous, prefers the
activity. I can't imagine taking a mare 50 miles at 280 days of gestation - I
can WELL imagine taking an ALREADY FIT ATHLETE 25 or 35 miels at 4 or 5
months. for your information, we have never ridden a 50 miler on a PG mare -
but would not consider distance, on its own, cruel to a gestating mare.
Opinions are fine - your post was a vehement attack.
