Difficulty of rides (was Tevis vs OD)

Angie - if the Million Pines ride has a low completion rate, then maybe
the course isn't so easy?  There *have* to be other factors involved
that make for that completion rate!  Maybe the ride managers have put
traps on the trail?  Detours through quicksand?  Lie about the time the
race starts?  Put phony trail markers up?   Lif
