Re: RC: 5 year olds doing 100's
Thanks Heidi for your response. That's pretty much the way I think too,
regarding that would turn out to be a max 1 or 2 100's (& late in the 5th
year by definition if after several 50s). Seem to be two schools of thought:
(1) slow 50's then fast 50's then a 100 or (2) slow 50's, slow 100s, then
faster 50's, then faster 100's. I've tried the first way--but it seemed my
horse just got really good at pacing himself to do a fast 50--then doing a
slow 100 was not easy (and not, I felt, very fair to my horse who had thought
he had it sussed!) I've been thinking this time I'd try the other way, but
wanted some reassurance.
