Just ahd to drop a note even though we were not fortunate enough to get to Mt Laguna - tough time of year for us. Terry's rides are always THEE BEST! For any one who mised Mt Lag, try Manzanita - we are going BACK - and when the Warner Springs repeats, oh boy! Hey, THAT one was fun and it RAINED! (didn't ride, just....relaxed, read a book, etc). Anyway, trails are always good, food is great, and teh vets and staff are terrific. Now that I opened my big MOUTH, i better get our entries in right away...eveyrone will be banging down the doors to get in! san

I've been so wrapped up in taking care of Harca's tendon injury that I forgot to thank Terry for the incredible organization job she does at the Mt. Laguna Ride. She makes being a ride manager look fun and easy (it is, isn't it??). The campsite for this ride doesn't even have any dust. And, after rain and cold Friday afternoon, we had perfect sunny, 70 something degree temperatures to ride in (I didn't know Terry's connections were THAT good!). Every type of food is provided for hungry endurance riders -- even fresh fruit, allready cut up for you (Harca liked that part). The trail is spectacular....one of the prettiest I've ever seen. There are more volunteers per capita (not to mention vets) than any ride other than the Tevis that I've been to. You really don't need a crew at all, everything is provided for you at the vet checks -- including a lot of sincere sympathy when you pull your horse :( I didn't even have to wait long for a trailer ride back to camp -- a special thanks to my "rescuer" (sorry, can't remember his name...nice Dodge diesel though that I was lusting after). I'm sure Terry is recouperating at some exclusive health spa (or at least has her feet up). So if anybody sees her, pass along my thanks!
