This sounds all wrong to me...the mechanical hackamore wearer tends to
have the neck coming up at a high angle, then carries the nose in.  The
longer the shanks the more you tend to get this carriage in my
experience.  I had a big ex-race horse App that I always rode with
one...MANY miles ago.  Seems strange now not to look at the world through
a set of ears.  I don't care for it much because the horse tends to
hollow his back with it.  However, a horse who is trained in another bit,
then just sort of slips into something more comfortable like the
S-hackamore doesn't necessarily fit this pattern.
