Re: RC: helmets Message

hehehe...having met you now, Linda, I can visualize this! ;-)
My medic was cute also -- but I was very lucid. Had him take off my jacket
when we were in the aid car so nobody would think about cutting it off when
we got to the ER. Momentarily thought about getting my boots and breeches
off, but decided to stop with the jacket. This was prompted by the fact
that one of the paramedics was wielding a huge scissor at the accident
scene...with every intent of removing my breeches, etc. at that time. "Oh
no!!! You're not cutting my pants...or my jacket! Do you know how much I
had to pay for these??????" I would *really* have been embarrassed to have
ridden in the aid car with the cute medic and my all cellulite out there
for the world to see. <bg>
Seriously, tho...if anyone is interested in the *actual mechanics* of what
happens to your brain on impact and it's sequelae, email me. I have a post
in "my" archives ;-) that I wrote to another forum last year that explains
this from a medical perspective.
BTW -- "Did you have a helmet on?" was one of the first questions out of
*everybody's* mouth!
Sue (who has to go back to work on Wednesday...darn! I was really getting
to like this "work at home ONLY" status. I'm even MORE motivated now to
get the "hell outa Dodge" (read...the OR) and earn all of my income at
home. Hopefully I'll be down to just 2 days a week very soon...right now I
just need to be patient and try to get a few extra shekels in the meantime.
