I have Blundstone Walkabouts that I absolutely adore and have worn nearly
to death in the last 2 years.  I recently switched to a Vasque hiking boot
for long rides, for extra ankle support (I have weak ankles), but I still
wear my Blunnies for every day and short rides.  Blundstones are
definitely wider than Ariats.
