If it is from bug bites, especially gnats, I use Bag Balm.  Soothes the itch 
and also heals it.  It doesn't collect the dust, etc., that Swat does.  
Moving from the desert Southwest to the Midwest was a real change for Phoenix 
and I and we had to learn a lot of new things for bug control.  My sister who 
is a long time Minnesotan turned me onto Bag Balm, which works great on 
scratches and cuts also.
