horse trivia
I was at the Longtreets Charge Ride last
weekend. It was only my 2nd 50 and, with the help of friends and a tough little
horse, we were able to get a completion.
I have a horse trivia calender, and yesterdays
entry made me think of my experience at Longstreet. It reported that*During the
Crimean War(1815-1854),one Arab horse raced 93 miles without harm, but its rider
died from exhaustion* I got to thinking--Either that person was riding bareback
(an ancestor of Aprils?), or he left his Gatorade at the last Vet check (an
ancestor of mine!!).
It was a grat weekend-thanks to all
