Go to Savation Army and collect a selection of tights; summer, spring, fall and winter.  Go to Payless and collect a selection of old fashion baby diapper pins.  Pull you socks up under the tights and pin, VOILA, you are in and if you have enought safty pins you are SAFE.

 

PS pin on outside of leg, and not so they are baggy or will still rub.  You can even do this with sweat pants.  Another solution is nylon pantyhose, even those with runs will do fine for several rides.  The nylons should be against your skin.

 

Nylons and shorts are good for hot weather.
