There was a great quote I read once. They asked some fellow who won the
Tevis what he fed and he said, "Grass when it is, and hay when it ain't."
The only trouble I've seen was one kid whose horse was on pasture, then
every time she went to a ride it coliced from the change over to hay.
That was an isolated incidence though. Wish I had some grass....but
then, out here on my moonscape the bugs aren't nearly as bad as just down
the road.
