I NEVER put my two geldings together in a restricted area, (with close corners
to be trapped in).  I will turn them out in a large pasture (10 acres +) To me
with all the problems I have heard of I figure it is cheap insurance.  I do
turn the youngsters together in the corrals but even my small corrals are
larger than lots of pastures.  I had a good friend who lost a horse to a
broken leg when kicked by a mare in a pasture so I know the larger area
doesn't totally prevent problems.  The other thing I do is keep the
"Barracuda" by himself at all times.  Lovell
