Feed question: Grass

I'm just wondering where good pasture sits in the feeding catergory for endurance horses. I have enough pasture to not feed hay at all in the summer months. I do have everything cross fenced and feed my endurance horse hay (and of course beet pulp and vitiamns). Is there enough roughage in pasture for endurance horses? Susan?
