I use a vosal often but I am very careful about leading with it because of the metal noseband and the chance of the horse getting away from you or stepping on the lead. I would just hate to break my horses nose. My vosal has "bit attachments" on it and I clip it directly to a rope halter. That way, when I get off and lead or need to tie my horse I unclip my reins from the vosal and clip it to the rope halter. There are knots on the rope halter on either side of the face/eyes and I clip the bit attachments above the knots.
