Had one like this heal incredibly fast, barely 2 weeks.

Oh man, I hate to hear that.  I had one lose joint fluid when a hock was
kicked.  He developed arthritis within a year.  From what I understand
you want to hit it with antibiotics...HARD.  Ask the vets on that one. 
This horse went from sound, to stiff, to tripping and falling in just a
couple of years.  Hope your prognosis is better.
