in another word, NOT ALWAYS. when you live in a constant state of wet, as
we do
in parts of the north west, feet never get a chance to dry and toughen up
much. pads
become a great insurance policy when you train on very hard rock roads,
while you
are waiting the endless wait for the mud trails to dry. i've been using
silicone under
my pads for 10 years, the silicone come out in one piece, and my horses
frogs are
far from mush. what works for some may not work for others, but for some
of the
rusting, mud slopping riders in oregon it works just fine.
