Barbara...I've often thought of this for my ride (Fl. End. Classic)
as I've appreciated it in the same manner as you a few times in the
past when I was competing.

These mad starts, sometimes just before dawn or when 1st light is barely
visable, can be just that....mad! <g>

Do you do this at your rides? As a ride mgr. and competitor, your re-
spected input is appreciated.
