You know it's Spring when...
You know it's Spring when...
Your horse sheds more hair than he could possibly have on his body.
You fleece pad looks like a horse hair felt pad.
You eyes swell, your nose runs, and you still can't wait to get out &
ride.
Your horse sweats mud through his thick (but shedding like crazy) coat.
Your horse changes color after his first Spring bath. (What do you mean
I have a gray - I thought he was a light chestnut!)
The fresh green grass is almost more important to your horse than grain
& carrots.
The ponies all come into the dry lots. (No grass foundering this year!)
Face fly season starts.
There's enough daylight that you can ride in the evenings without
looking like a lit Christmas Tree along the roadside.
Any more? I think this ends SADDR (Seasonal Affective Disorder of
Distance Riders)!!!!!!!!! Now DIMR kicks in. (Distance Induced Mental
Retardation)
