Morabs
A Morgan-Arab cross is an excellent one, and people do have many reasons
for not wanting a purebred Arab... Remember Astro Aries? That horse
was campaigned to death (one YEAR he had over 7,000 miles) but did his
(unenviable) job faithfully until, quite literally, his ending, out on
the trail. Tulip is another Morab. Kootenai Zizzero is a Morab.
Maybe it's because Justin Morgan himself was only four generations away
from Godolphin Arabian -- must be genes harkening way, way back to those
early Arab genes. The AMHA is, right now, going through agonies trying
to decide whether or not to officially recognize part-Morgan crosses. I
wrote a 3-page letter about famous endurance Morabs, urging them to do
so, but you never know what AMHA will do. Cheers (;-), Connie B (who
is going to bring her brash young Morgan to the Wine Country 50 next
month because he needs to see GOD!)
