Re: RC: Re: Arab crosses
It's funny - when I went looking for a new horse 4 years ago I started
looking for an arab cross - figuring full arabs would be more
expensive, and part arabs maybe less spooky. The only part-bred I
found was an incredibly oversensitive green broke 1/2 quarter 1/2 arab
that almost took off when I shifted a foot after mounting. Not that
one! I wanted to live.
My first horse was a 3/4 arab 1/4 quarter that could drop a shoulder
and do a 180 in nothing flat - sometimes I didn't make that 180!
The horse I ended up with is a full arab that is quite sensible - he
will react, but not spin - just looks and blows. He was also a good
price. Some horses don't follow the 'stereotype' or preconceived
notions.
