Frank, once (many years ago) at a board meeting, I suggested AERC drop the
whole awards thing, and I got an ovation from the board. But I would guess
that we would lose a lot of riders if there were no awards to run for. Some
people are more competitive than others .. some must have an award to go for,
others are just happy with the experience and the mileage being recorded.
Each of us looks for, and finds, something different in this sport.
